Farm Philosophy
Lazy Beginnings
A note from our founder: Nichole Croteau Baker
I am a Montana girl at heart.
I have traveled the globe, lived in bustling cities, experienced amazing cultures, met dynamic people, tasted fantastic foods and voraciously learned as much as I could of this grand adventure called life.
Through all of this, something kept drawing me back to my pristine and natural upbringing in Big Sky Country.
So my husband I paired down all of our belongings from a 4 bedroom home in Seattle and moved to a 1 bedroom cabin nestled in the foothills of the Gallatin Valley, near Bozeman, MT, with the majestic Missouri river as our backyard "water feature!"
After recovering from my second round of thyroid cancer (6 years cancer free!), my life-long interest in wholesome and natural personal care products began to occupy my thoughts day and night. I became my own kitchen-sink scientist, mixing, weighing, experimenting and researching as much as I could about the health benefits of naturally derived ingredients.
I am thoroughly convinced conventional toxin-laden ingredients have no place in our personal care products; we just need access to better options. Which was how Lazy Daisy Soap company came to be.
Combining my extensive research with my passion, Lazy Daisy Skincare products are crafted in small batches on our quaint family-run goat farm. All of our soap and body products are made with fresh, raw goat’s milk from happy, well-adjusted goats. The benefits of goat's milk are numerous, and I've listed all the truly amazing qualities on my ingredients page. All of our products are free of Petrochemicals, Mineral Oils, Parabens, Phthalates, Palm Oils, Fragrances and Dyes!
I hope you enjoy your lovingly made Lazy Daisy products. Feel free to contact me with any questions or visit our About and FAQ pages for more info!
With lots of love and lather,
Nichole
Where it all began. The home of all these lovely goats - the Lazy Daisy farm!
The Orignal
Milk Makers
Meet the five, beautiful goats who started it all! It's no exaggeration to say that without them, Lazy Daisy Skincare would not exist! You five will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts.
Kevin
This is Kevin. He came to us a few years ago from New Moon Goat Rescue outside of Seattle. People are pretty intimated by this guy but he is really a big, beautiful softy! And clearly he takes his role as farm guard goat very seriously!
Twiggs
This lovely little girl is Twiggs. She is the youngest of the group but brings with her a huge personality! She is sweet and affectionate and in hind sight, should have been named Shadow because she just follows closely behind as I do my farm chores.
Chico
Meet Chico! He is our newest addition, born this year to Twiggs. He is adorable and sweet and growing so quickly!
Lulu
Meet Lulu. She is a beautiful, prize winning Toggenburg doe. She is really sweet if just a little shy but always very regal and loves to keep her herd in check.
Captain Crunch
We affectionately call Captain Crunch our little old man. He was 9 years old when we adopted him from New Moon Goat Rescue a few years ago. He loves his new life in Montana (hates the rain) and never wastes a minute of it! Always playing and doing complicated spin kicks off of the picnic table.
